At Decision Mechanics we are passionate about taking the best that decision science has to offer and packaging it for day-to-day use. Software allows us to make the intractable mundane.
Responding to the specific needs of clients, Decision Mechanics have created web, desktop and smartphone applications that assist decision-makers throughout the world.
We have experience in a wide range of platforms, but are now focusing our attention on Microsoft’s .NET technology — including Mono (non-Microsoft Windows platforms) and MonoTouch (iPhone). .NET has enabled us to build better quality applications faster. The ability to leverage our skills across desktop, web and iPhone applications allows us to focus more on what matters—supporting decision-makers.
Decision Mechanics does not treat software development like most management consultancies—i.e. employing a number of junior software developers to do “grunt work”. We view the software side of our business as every bit the equal of the decision science side. Without high quality software, our ideas are as flightless…and as dead…as dodos.
Typically, we work with clients to solve their immediate problem using elements from our analytical toolbox. Then, when the concept has been proven, we embed a custom application in the organization to ensure that our capabilities do not disappear with our consultants.
